Fenntartható mezőgazdaság- és vidékfejlesztés Marokkóban. Marokkó, Afrika harmadik legnagyobb élelmiszer exportőre erősen függ a mezőgazdaság teljesítményétől. Az ágazat teljes hozzájárulása a GDP-hez 13%, a teljes foglalkoztatáshoz 35%, a vidéki foglalkoztatáshoz 72%, jelentősége tehát elvitathatatlan a nemzetgazdaság szempontjából. A vidéki népesség éghajlatváltozással szembeni kitettsége erőteljes a mezőgazdaságtól való erős függő helyzet miatt. A vizsgálat célja a fenntartható mezőgazdaság- és vidékfejlesztés jelentőségének tanulmányozása a vidéki népesség körében a releváns vidékfejlesztési stratégiák tanulmányozásával és a jelen helyzet vizsgálatával, feltárva Marokkó lehetőségeit a fenntartható vidékfejlesztés terén. A vizsgálat során egyértelművé vált hogy Marokkóban a vidékfejlesztés bizonyos mértékig a mezőgazdaság fejlődésétől függ, és a fenntartható mezőgazdálkodás várhatóan előremozdítja a vidékfejlsztést is. A korábbi, mezőgazdaság fejlesztésével kapcsolatos stratégiák hatékonynak bizonyultak a vidéki népesség gazdasági-társadalmi fejlődésében. Az írástudatlanság és a releváns technológiák alkalmazásának alacsony aránya azonban kihívást jelent a fenntartható megoldások adaptálásában is. A sikeres fenntartható megoldások a mezőgazdaság terén azonban hosszú távon valószínűleg elősegítik a fenntartható vidékfejlesztést is.
