Artificial Intelligence – The Gamechanger in the Automotive Industry to Counteract Material Shortage in a Crisis

This paper researches the hypothesis: Artificial intelligence can counteract material shortage, caused by a crisis in the automotive industry. The methodology of the article is a literature review of the state of the art of artificial intelligence and the possible impact of artificial intelligence in a crisis as well as interviews with experts and executives from the automotive industry. The research results show that with the help of artificial intelligence, a crisis can be detected at a very early stage and serve as the basis for early warning systems to counteract the crisis and its consequences.
